Our S2S sawn lumber is being taken from planks that had pith splits, long checks, or excessive inclusions that would not have made good plank pieces. This will also make it convenient for those of you who would rather have surfaced material to start with. We keep all our surfaced lumber as close to a full 1" thick as possible to allow for movement when acclimating to your shop so you get a good flat piece after machining that still meets the 3/4 threshold.

Like our rough sawn planks, all the surfaced lumber is sorted and grouped according to the log it came from so as to keep the grain and color consistent on your projects.
